Sunday Saviours #46

Hey!

You may have noticed a severe lack of Sunday Saviours for the past month and a bit, and that is because I have decided to switch it up and just make it a monthly feature.

For those who are new to this feature… howdy!

Sunday Saviours is all about things I have found on the tinterweb that make me smile and I think you, my lovely readers, should see too.

Let’s Get Cracking

The gorgeous Katie has made a Custard Cream Footstool…. I know… UH-MAZING

Him Indoors is teaching me photoshop one blog post at a time…

Rachel built a tree swing… I want, I want, I want.

Kate talked about womanhood and the secret truth.

Lulastic did something fabulous with dominoes that I just have to do! The old games truly are the best.

Mrs Thrifty reminded me why we deserve good service when we pay for it.

Bekuh made a gorgeous fabric garland, very different from my own.

My stepmumma branched out into the world of twitter to promote her online card biz!

Mandy and Harper make my heart melt… check out Harper’s ninja moves… she is toooo cool.

Hope you all have a happy Sunday!

Sunday Saviours #44

Hullo all!

I type to you today from my bedroom…exiled from my normal blogging sofa by 5 grown men, playing computer games. It’s a Bank Holiday, therefore, P’s boys come round for games, food and beers.

I am happy enough, I have Buffy on the TV, crochet hooks in my hand and a lovely glass of lemon squash. I’m apparently easily pleased.

Here are some other things that are pleasing me!

The teapot that Katie & Reuben found!

Kate over at Wake Up Lovely has done an entire week of ‘Getting Real’ posts on her blog….well worth reading. I have given you Monday’s link, but please read through all the posts. F.A.B

Loving these funky crowns.

Katie is back after a little break...she is fabulous. FACT.

This post honestly made my uterus flip… DANGER….

I bought some yummy things from a fellow small business owner and I think you should too.

Hope you are all enjoying the Jubilee Weekend…. go and wave a flag won’t you?

Sunday Saviours #43

Let me start by saying that I have had an utterly glorious day. I have taken my flabby ghost pins out naked into the streets, wandered around beautiful National Trust gardens, I have been asked by the Mother-in-Law if I would be interested in doing a stall in November at her church, I am rocking an epic topknot today, I have an entire chicken cooking and generally life has been bloody spot-on these past 24 hours.

How is it going for you? All frabjous I hope! Callooh Callay!

Here are some things I have really enjoyed this week.

PIMMS! By the bucket load!

This post by Elsie & Emma on time management.

This beautiful bit o’ kit that is on the way to us. (And for NOT the RRP put here…we BARGAINED it baby!)

This wedding. Do you think we could get a vintage motorcyle? I love how relaxed the gents look.

Finding THE dress for the wedding out in Colombia in August.

The fact that Hannah is BACK! YAY! And she has a giveaway biatches!

Isn’t that video bloody brilliant? HINT HINT Miss Lauren!

Sunday Saviours #40

Hullo you lovely lot,

This week has been a bit all over the place for us here at The Nest. I actually lost my voice on Tuesday and Wednesday (to P’s great amusement) and I discovered that P is actually unable to lip-read or play charades…FAIL.

I have spent a lot of time on our very comfy sofa, with my feet up and our super cosy duvet (brought back out of the airing cupboard as I refuse to turn the heating on…It’s April forgodsakes), crocheting like mad ready for May and the big stock swap on the shop. Everything will still be available to buy but I have limited product space on the shopee. If you spot something on my facebook page that isn’t up in the shop, leave a comment and I will make it available for you to buy! Easy as pie right?

So enough about me….this is what other people have been up to that I have seriously enjoyed!

You may have seen these kids bouncing all over Pinterest recently, but they are too cute no for me to feature here! Check out their daddy’s blog for them!

I love the jewellery organisation in this post! So chic and pretty!

Merdith and I share a love of post. I love Meredith’s blog. She is so sweet and I just want to squeeze her!

This post from Lulastic had me nodding and grinning all at the same times. The amount of times at work I hear sexism from YOUNG PEOPLE….makes me shudder.

Seriously enjoying Amy’s fringe jacket and a gorgeous mirror tray she found for UNDER $5.

Fran’s post on her new to her furniture is amazing. So jealous! Also she has a lovely discount code for my shop due to her feature post on me! Go and visit!

The fab Ab over at Doll Doll Dolly, posted this this week and I need to buy myself a copy!

Hope you all have a fab Sunday!

April Sponsors

Well…blow me down…it is April already! I hope you have had a lamb, chick and of course, bunny filled spring so far.

This month, I asked the fabulous folks who are my sponsors, ‘What their favourite bunny related thing was’..no rudies!…just for a lark…and this is what the gorgeous fitfaces in my sidebar had to say for themselves! Click their links and find another lovely blog to read won’t you?

Lauren Alice from The Beauty Habit

My favourite bunny based item isn’t really an item but the film Who Framed Rodger Rabbit. I absolutely loved that film as a child.  I’d laugh until my sides ached when the tweety birds flew around his head.  And of course there is the style icon that is Jessica Rabbit, “I’ve loved you more than any woman’s ever loved a rabbit.” Classic!

I don’t celebrate Easter as I’m not in any way religious but I do celebrate Spring!  For me that means new beginnings, bright colours and planning for Summer.

Right, I’m off to see if I can go and hunt down that movie on DVD!

Fran from Skulls & Ponies

A bunny outfit for a dog. Brilliant. I confess that as a child I used to love dressing out dogs up! They loved it really.

Filipa from Craft S.O.S

Anything with a bunny is cute. Who doesn’t love those fluffy things? I had a bunny and even when he chewed the TV cables I couldn’t stay mad looking at his face.
My favourite bunny item at the moment has to be those cute little vintage ceramic ones, like this. I’ve always been a collector (of many things) and I’m now into vintage. Now that I mentioned it… I’m off to ebay get one!

Grace from Her Umbrella

O, I love little Peter Rabbit :)

Andrea from Love Is

My favorite bunny based item would have to be a candle holder I got years ago for Easter. It has a bunch of bunnies on it & all these pretty spring colors. It’s so cute! = )

Sarah from A KnittedFox Trot

My favorite bunny based item would have to be little amigurumi bunnies.  They are just so darling! *^__^*

Paul from Lismer Photography

Sorry I don’t actually own this bunny based item, but it’s possibly the best Monty Python Character there is.

Bex from Futures

I adore this!
It’s cute but stylish and perfect for the colder months!

Lu from Lulastic

Here is a pic of one of Ramona’s old vintage toys. I think it’s a pull along bunny? Or sausage dog? Hmmmmmmm.

Sunday saviours #39

Hello all.

I have spent very little time thinking about anything really this week apart from the launch of my little shop, which I have probably bored you all to death with. I would like to thank you all for your support and kind words!

Now time for me to promote some other lovely things, places and people.

How gorgeous are these drawings?

I would love this to put in our hallway.

And how about this for the sofa?

I loved this post by Kathy B – she makes me chuckle!

I think this is utterly gorgeous.

I loved this ‘Circus’ style shoot too.

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend.

Sunday Saviours #38

Tara made some gorgeous Star Wars themed finger puppets over on her blog. I think I can think of a boy who would love these!

I love this. As a acting student this just transports me back to sitting out int he sun learning two different scenes. I would love to get a canvas and cover it with quotes, and hang it in my bathroom for when you needed something to read!

This is such a great idea for those who aren’t chocolate crazy at Easter. I would love these this year!

From the best cake blog I know, Cake Wrecks, comes this lego based beauty!

These are so cute…what a lovely DIY!

I love this flow chart. I probably need to print it out!

Sunday Saviours #37

Well…it has been bloomin’ glorious weather here at the Nest and all I have been able to do is dream about sitting in the sunshine in my very own garden.

So having a garden leads to thinking about saving for a house, which leads to thinking about money, which leads me to thinking about spending NO MONEY WHATSOEVER.

So here are my Sunday Saviours – garden ideas and money saving hints.

I love this hanging vertical garden, and it is made from recycled things…MY FAVOURITE!

Martha Stweart may be loaded but she knows what she is talking about when it comes to saving money.

I want this in my garden….so cute

I love A Thrifty Mrs, you should to…she knows her onions about saving a few bob.

I don’t care if our garden is tiny…I will make space for wonderful things

I saw this FIT teatowel yesterday on our day out at a National Trust…and now I want it…to frame it….yes…I love Tea Towels… I seriously have a tea towel obsession….

Make saving money a game…and you’ll save more than you think.

Hope you are all having a gorgeous sunday!

Sunday Saviours #36

This week has been really mixed for many reasons, but these things have helped me make it to Sunday.

I had the most girlie evening in with Lauren Alice on Tuesday, where we watched Beauty and The Beast with big bowls of popcorn. During the film, we were having a big chat about the most attractive disney prince, and we stumbled onto this.

And after that…I found the lady who created them…and got totally lost in her blog.

I love this door DIY on Dottie Angel’s blog!

This cake is soooo green. Cool right?

Grace, of Her Umbrella, popped this over on her ‘other’ blog!

Sunday Saviours #35 – Engagement Edition w/ Engagement Shoot Pics (image heavy)

This week has been a bit of a mad race to Friday. I have been wearing my new shiny finger bauble from the HTB (husband-to-be) and I think I have gotten pulled into some sort of time/space warp whilst staring at it. We did our very own at home engagement shoot on Friday, and above are some of the shots that I really liked.

People have been asking when, where and what we are doing for our spousing ceremony, but we aren’t really deciding on anything till after we come back from Columbia in August, after the brother-in-law and his WTB’s wedding.

But that doesn’t mean I can’t hit up the interent looking for ALL the things I’d like to have…I have ages to make up my mind then! :D

WARNING!

This post is all wedding related. Feel free to move on (or stay and click on EVERYTHING!)

Thinking of making these for the event. I love the idea of using music from our favourite songs.

I love these invites. We’d probably change Bangers & Mash to Bacon & Cheese…

I think I’ve linked this before…but wedding bingo? COME ON!

I love Andrea’s blog post on all the DIY she did for her wedding. I adore her No Assigned Seating sign!

I will be making one of these. Imagine what amazing advice you might get!

I am going to have to wear flats on my Big Day, but how cute would these be on the front?

I don’t know if we will have many little ones at our event, but if we do…I am making some of these!

P would love this
